About the SJC SELPA

The San Joaquin County Office of Education (SJCOE) serves as the administrative unit for the San Joaquin County Special Education Local Plan Area (SJC SELPA). The SJC SELPA is a multi-district, collaborative SELPA designed to ensure special education programs and services are available for all students with disabilities enrolled in the following school districts and programs: Banta, Escalon, Jefferson, Lammersville, Lincoln, Linden, Manteca, New Jerusalem Elementary, Ripon, Tracy School Districts, and SJCOE-operated programs. The SJC SELPA has provided support to students, families, and districts since 1981.

SJC SELPA Governing Council Public Hearings

The San Joaquin County (SJC) Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) Governing Council may periodically hold public hearings throughout the year to comply with Education Code Section 56205(b)(2). These hearings are part of the requirements for developing the Special Education Local Plan.
