Linden Unified School District Opening Plan for the 2021-22 School Year

Linden Unified School District COVID Safety Plan for the 2021-2022 School Year 

California Department of Public Health (CDPH) has mandated the following rules for all  California K-12 schools. The CDPH requires all students and adults to wear masks while inside  school buildings when students are present. At minimum, the following rules must be  followed at this time: 

TK-12 grade students are required to mask indoors only.
Masks are not required outdoors.
All TK-12 grade students are required to wear masks while traveling on school buses. 4. Physical distancing is encouraged but not required as long as students are masked. 5. Students will be reminded and encouraged to wear a mask; however, NO student shall be excluded from school for not complying.
Current quarantine protocols will remain in place.
All students will be enrolled in in-person instruction at the beginning of the school year. Any parent who wishes to place his/her child on independent study for medical reasons, shall meet with the school site administrator and follow the proper Board adopted protocols and procedures with the goal of re-enrolling students back  into regular school as soon as possible. 

LUSD will abide by the above mandated (Public Health Directive) protocols until lifted or  modified by the State.

Each classroom is equipped with: 

Hospital grade HEPA towers
All HVAC system filters have been upgraded and are replaced frequently 3. Hand sanitizing stations
Increased COVID school cleanings are to remain in place

2021-2022 Student Accident & Sickness Insurance/ Folleto de Seguro de Enfermedad y Accidente de Estudiante del 2021-2022

Linden USD 2021-2022 Student Accident & Sickness Insurance brochure is now available online. To enroll, please follow the instructions in the attached brochure. Enrollment is also available by going to www.myers-stevens.com. While your child is eligible to enroll at any time, one-time-pay rates for the accident medical plans and Dental Accident Plan are the same regardless of enrollment date. As such, you are encouraged to consider enrollment now in order to include coverage for this summer and the full 2021-2022 School Year. Once processing is completed, an ID card verifying coverage will be mailed home to you. If you have any questions concerning the coverages available, COVID 19 adjustments or need help with enrollment, please call Myers-Stevens & Toohey at (800) 827-4695. Bilingual representatives are available for parents who need assistance in Spanish. Printed brochures available at school sites per request.

Folleto de Seguro de Enfermedad y Accidentes de Estudiante del 2021-2022 para Linden USD ya está disponible en línea. Para inscribirse, siga las instrucciones del folleto adjunto. Linden Unified has launched Aeries Communication's ParentSquare, a simple and collaborative school-home communication platform, to reach and engage every parent, ensuring all parents have the opportunity to actively participate in their children’s education. By unifying multiple tools into one platform, ParentSquare provides an improved and seamless experience for parents and staff. Parents will be able to keep track of news, activities and events from all their children’s schools in one place. ParentSquare is now available for staff and parents to use on their computers or mobile devices.
