Patty  Atkins, RN, BSN

District Nurse

I received my RN license from San Joaquin Delta College in 1985 and then went on to Stanislaus State for my Bachelors in Nursing, graduating in 1988. I worked on the Medical Surgery floor at San Joaquin General Hospital for 8 years.  I was fortunate enough to be a stay-at-home mom while my three children were  young.  Once my youngest started Kindergarten,  I went back to work at Linden Unified School District as their Health Clerk.  During this time, I went to Fresno State to obtain my School Nursing Credential. I began working as the School Nurse  for LUSD in 2003.  I love my job.  I love the children.  Seeing students grow from elementary school to the high school is amazing.  The parents in our district are very supportive of their children.  It is a great district to work for.

Maria Ortiz
 Health Clerk
Hello my name is Maria Ortiz
I'm the Health Clerk at Glenwood Elementary and Waverly Elementary.
I'm happy to be a part of the Linden Unified School District Health Department.
I'm a mother of 3 and sometimes feel like a mother of 4.   I've been a stay home mom for years and now that all my kids are at school I'm enjoying my time back at work.  Between home, work, sports and a very busy and crazy familia, my schedule is crazier than ever but what mom can't relate to that.  I consider myself easy going and friendly. My kids like to say I'm very cheesy so I guess I have to include that description of myself.  I'm a strong believer that everyone needs to be healthy before anything else.  I will finish off with a quote from one of my favorite philosophers and poets.
"The first wealth is HEALTH."
-Ralph  Waldo Emerson
