My Name is Becky Cook and I am so excited to be working as your School Nurse and Wellness Coordinator. I have lived in the Linden Unified School District my entire life. All three of my children had the same kindergarten classroom that I did at Linden Elementary. I knew at a young age that I wanted to be a nurse and make people feel better just like my Nana did. I have been a nurse for 20+ years and plan to make this my last position before retirement. I purchased my dream home in Linden where I garden, raise Nigerian Dwarf goats, and spend a lot of time with my family. I have three children, Tim, Katie and Natasha. I love to travel, camp, and ride motorcycles with my partner Ed. Please feel free to reach out if I can assist you in any way.

Kimberly Barbagelata

Health Clerk

Kimberly K. Barbagelata has been the Health Clerk for Linden Unified School District for the past 6 school years. Kim went to adult college at Delta College and received Early Childhood Development credits that she applied to opening her own home based daycare that she ran for 15 years before becoming the Health Clerk for LUSD. As the Health Clerk Kim received a Red Cross CPR/AED Trainer certificate that she has used to train CPR/AED to LUSD employees and High School students. Currently Kim is working to complete the hearing and vision testing on all of the kindergarten, 2nd, 5th, and 8th grade students at Linden El., Waverly, Glenwood, and Waterloo Schools. Kim lives in Linden with her husband, three daughters, five dogs, and three cats. She really enjoys her time with the students and staff at the schools and loves her career as Health Clerk and hopes for more responsibilities and projects.

Health Clerk

Hello my name is Maria Ortiz. I'm the Health Clerk at Glenwood Elementary and Waverly Elementary. I'm happy to be a part of the Linden Unified School District Health Department. I'm a mother of 3 and sometimes feel like a mother of 4. I've been a stay home mom for years and now that all my kids are at school I'm enjoying my time back at work. Between home, work, sports and a very busy and crazy familia, my schedule is crazier than ever but what mom can't relate to that. I consider myself easy going and friendly. My kids like to say I'm very cheesy so I guess I have to include that description of myself. I'm a strong believer that everyone needs to be healthy before anything else.
