The Linden Unified School

Board of Trustees

is pleased to announce

    Daniel Moore

Daniel Moore

will upon approval become the new superintendent of schools

beginning July 1, 2021

The Board of Trustees will take action to approve the hiring of Daniel Moore at their next regular Board Meeting on June 9, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. at the school district office. Dan was selected from 28 candidates who submitted applications.

Mr. Moore has been a superintendent for the past eleven years. He spent eight years as the Superintendent/Principal of two school districts in the Eastern Sierra and the last three as the Superintendent for Banta Elementary School District. In his career, Mr. Moore has served as an Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources, Child Welfare, and Attendance and has been a principal at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. Mr. Moore taught for many years, teaching 2nd through 6th-grade students, and still misses being a teacher working directly with students. In addition, Mr. Moore has been an adjunct professor of Organizational Leadership at Simpson University in Redding, California, and taught Human Resources at the University of California, Riverside.

Mr. Moore states he has enjoyed being the Superintendent of Banta School District and is looking forward to serving Linden Unified School District and its community for many years to come. “We are fortunate to hire an experienced leader who meets our needs and criteria so well,” said Board President Eric Nims.  “I know I speak for the Board in saying we look forward to his skilled leadership for the benefit of the District’s students, employees, and schools.”
